We all have those Mondays where you don’t want to let go of your sweat suit, chipped nail polish and unruly hair, but that doesn’t mean you can’t offset your week with a minimal beauty look! The key is to clock in feeling polished without looking like you are wearing a lot of makeup!
MAKEUP: To appear natural yet refined, focus on brightening your skin and eyes. Apply a BB or CC cream only where you need to even out your skin tone, and blend well with your fingers. Set it with loose, translucent powder. Next, sweep bronzer on your cheeks, temples and down the bridge of your nose, then place a dot of cream or powder blush on the apples of your cheeks. Easy! Didn’t get enough sleep? Curling your lashes can hide evidence of a late night. I swear by my eyelash curler and eyedrops designed for allergies to erase redness! Add a sheer wash of beige or light brown shadow over your lids and finish with two coats of mascara. Don’t forget to brush your brows! Last step, a nude pinkish lip applied straight from the bullet!
HAIR: If you don’t have time for a blow-dry after your morning shower, spritz damp locks with a wave enhancing spray or add mousse from root to tip and twist them into a low chignon until dry. When you take it down, you are left with soft waves. And if even that takes away from your morning routine, an effortless fishtail braid is still en vogue so braid away!
NAILS: Stay flawless down to your fingertips with clean, buffed nails. Stick with neutral hues, followed by a high-shine top coat.
